“How long, ye simple ones will ye love simplicity? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you.
But since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand, since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you, when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
Then they will call to me but I will not answer, they will look for me but will not find me.
Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord; since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them;
But whosoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.” Proverbs 1:22-33
If the leaders of our nation had a back bone and remembered those things they were taught by their mothers and grandmothers in Sunday School they would remember that when ever Israel departed from the commandments of God, they met with unceasing disaster and calamity.
God has given America such grace and He has given Americans the greatest opportunity to worship Him in truth and in freedom. With such freedom comes also the ability to choose, to choose life or to choose death.
In my own generation, I have witnessed growing apathy among the people regarding the statues of Christ, the teachings of the Bible, the history of our nation and its foundation, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. We see people disrespecting the U.S. flag, the Pledge of Allegiance and our nation’s motto, “In God We Trust.” They live in a nation that has unprecedented freedom and civil rights, and yet they totally ignore the ONE reason why America is blessed. It is because of God’s grace.
As the unjust leaders took over the Kingdom of England in the late 1600’s enacting laws and making rules to enrich themselves, to condone their frivolous ways at the expense of the people, the religious community suffered the most. Is history repeating itself?
There have been voices crying in the wilderness, but the church in America, rich and blessed, have largely been ignoring voices of the intercessors. The sleeping giant is beginning to awaken but now is it too late?
Thank goodness the Gospel is not American. The Church of the living God is not a denomination. It transcends cultures, politics, governments, nations. The Church of the Living God is comprise of men and women who are listening to His voice, seeking to do his will, and willing to carry out His command to “go into the world and preach the gospel to every living creature.”
When Jerusalem was persecuted the church began to GO into the nations. God is a master strategist. For the believers, we know that God is in control.
What did we expect when the Supreme Court handed down a ruling that now condones sin as a right?
What did we expect when the state took prayer out of the daily life of our children?
What did we expect when they took the Ten Commandments out of our court rooms?
What did we expect when the Court said it is legal to kill an unborn child?
What will be the outcome of these immoral decisions? History will repeat itself. God is not mocked for whatsoever man soweth that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7
What will you do now? Will you go on your merry way thinking that this is not going to affect me? Will you now go along with the crowds and water down your messages?
Or will you be like the Puritans and other religious freedom settlers in the founding of our nations? They were brave, courageous and willing to risk their lives for the sake of religious freedom and liberty.
America was not founded to give man the license and freedom to sin, America was founded to give Christians, Catholics and Jews freedom to worship and believe in the one true God.
Now what will you do?
